If you are like me, you are always searching for fun games to play with your kids that,
1. are fun
2. are easy
3. help them learn
I am a homeschooling mom of 5 little boys. Not sure I have ever told everyone. I love teaching with games and not just telling them what to do. They seem to understand a lot more when they can learn it by playing. So I decided to make a list of our favorite games. Most of them are "learning" games, but some are just fun.
My first game is so fun and yes, it is a learning game. It is very easy to pick up on. The recommended age is 8 and up, but my younger kids can play too and really enjoy it. You have to build trains lines to different destinations. This version is the United States. They also have Europe, Nordic Countries, United Kingdom, Asia, and India. There might even be more. It helps us to learn where things are!! This is a must have game!!

Next is Sequence Letters.
This is a great game to help kids with their letters and the beginning letter of words. We love the sequence games at our house.

Sticking with the Sequence theme is the States and Capitals version. My boys are currently learning their states and capitals so this game is a fun way for the boys to play and not realize they are learning

This is a fun game of visual perception. Between 2 cards there is always a matching picture. Be the one to spot it first! There are lots of versions of this game!!
This is a great game to play with up to 4 players, but it is also a fun game to play alone. Such a great game to help with hand-eye coordination! We love trying to balance everything, but we LOVE when it falls!
We all know the game Guess Who, right? I really like this version because it has different game boards to choose from. I like having a variety of things for my kids to learn to describe. Its so fun hearing the way they are learning to describe something. We have a lot of laughs with this one!!
This is a game my boys love to play because we make pirate noises. A lot of "arrg's" and "walk the plank's" are heard during this game. To make it even more fun, dress up and wear eye patches too. It is a fun game that isn't as complicated as the real version. The good thing is there are a lot of versions of this game so it pirates aren't your thing, that's ok. I'm positive there is a version for you.
If you love fast paced games, this is a game for you. There are so many ways to play Tenzi. Roll the dice and make different combinations before the other person. We also use these dice a lot for math games. You'll love this one.
This game is a fun game for kids and adults. There are cards with different categories on them. You have to go around on your turn and say something that relates to the category and starts with a letter from the alphabet. Once you have used one letter to tap it down and it can't be used again on that category. I like to do my own categories to help my boys learn different things. I use it for my preschooler to help him identify letters and their sounds!
I have soooo many more fun games to share, but I will leave that for another post! What are some of your favorite games to play? I'd love to hear!!
