I was bored one night and decided to make a cute little tag for Valentines day presents. You can write "love, and your name" in the black heart and send this with a yummy Valentines day treat for neighbors, teachers, visiting teachers, anyone really.
It is a 4x6 and can easily be printed out at home or at you favorite photo lab.
How cute would it be to make sugar cookies with royal icing and make hearts just like these to go with it! So FUN>

I have been doing photography for a few years now. I started just taking pictures of my family, then my extended family, and then friends. I used my kit lens because I didn't have the money to invest in a better, more expensive lens. I was kind of sad because I REALLY wanted another lens.
I talked with some friends in my area that had a lot more experience that I did to get some recommendations. They all recommended that I get the 50 mm 1.8. So, I looked it up and researched it. I thought, hmm, for 100ish dollars, why not. So I ordered it. I was super excited and couldn't wait. It arrived very quickly and I put it right on my camera. WOW!! What a huge difference! The pictures where very sharp and the background blur was amazing. I have to tell ya, I have purchased more lenses since then, quite a bit more expensive, but I have found that this lens rarely leaves my camera. It is great for portraits, newborns, action, and great in low light!
If you are like me and need a great lens that is inexpensive, but a great lens, I HIGHLY recommend this one!!

I have recently been released from s enjoyed serving in the Primary. I have loved that calling so much and was soo sad to be released, but with a new baby in the cold and flu season, what do you expect.
So I was able to attend Relief Society in the first time in forever and really enjoyed it. I have a lot of time that I am sitting around, feeding the baby and today it hit me as I was browsing on my phone, wasting time. I should be doing something better with my time. So I decided to read the lesson. It was great, you should read it. I felt very strong that I should start making these as free handouts for Relief Society each week. Our teachers spend so much time on the lesson, they shouldn't have to worry about anything else. So there you have it, handouts each week! It helps you and me!
This is an 8x10 you can print off at home and cut.

L'Oréal voluminous!! It is an all around great mascara. It gives me the thickness I am looking for and doesn't clump. That is very important!! Another very important feature for me, it doesn't tear my eyelashes out to take it off. It comes off pretty easy. I prefer the carbon black, non waterproof. I have never been a fan of waterproof though, it's too hard for me to get off!;) The color is rich and not grey. The original voluminous is pretty fantastic too.
Give it a try and let me know what you think.

Happy Monday morning! If you're anything like me, getting out of bed on Monday morning is TOUGH!!
Thanks to everyone for your comments and support. This is kind of crazy and new for me but I'm SOOO excited. SO, I decided that since Monday is not my favorite day of the week, I'm going to work on making it a more UPLIFTING day. Just coming off of a Sunday where it's so peaceful, I thought I could drag a little bit of Sunday on to Monday.
For now I am going to call it "MEANINGFUL MONDAYS". I am going to post a thought, quote, or something that I need to help start my day/week off in the right direction.
Todays thought/quote I really like. I came across it last night as my husband and I were crossing our fingers that our 2 year old would stay in bed. It is from Elder M. Russel Ballard, given in a talk to some young adults.
"I am so thoroughly convinced that if we don't set goals in our lives and learn how to master the techniques of living to reach our goals, we can reach a ripe old age and look back on our life only to see that we reached but a small part of our full potential. When one learns to master the principles of setting a goal, he will then be able to make a great difference in the results he attains in this life."
I loved this because this kind of sums up why I want to do this blog. So I can become better, Set goals and work to reach them.
SO today I am going to set a few goals to work on today and throughout this week. Take some time to write some down for yourself or post some on your blog. That way you have something to look at and remind you.
1. This week I want to eat healthier, sugar with every meal and inbetween is really not necessary.
2. I want to work on organizing one room top to bottom this week.
3. I want to dust off the old treadmill and go for a run this week.
4. Be more postive!
I am going to work on these this week. They may seem small to others, but these will challenge me. Next week, same time, same place, we can see how we did and set a new goal for the week.
Thanks for reading!
